Fashion on Canvas to feature the designs of J Bolin, Ken Lawrence, Viola B, J.R. Houston, Eric J. Uno and 15 year old Adriel Ragsdale

Fashion on Canvas will feature an “A” list of designers such as J Bolin, House of DeVinci (Ken Lawrence), Viola B, House of Gates (Eric J. Uno), J.R. Houston and 15 year old Adriel Ragsdale.  A series of model calls held during the month of August brought a selection of new models ready to showcase the talent of these designers and artist on the runway. The showcase will also feature a combination of body art and wearable art provided by the Birmingham Art Collective.

“We are excited to be a part of this unique fashion production which focuses on the fact that fashion is an art form.  We believe that the combination of fashion and art on the runway will offer a one-of-a-kind experience to Birmingham’s fashion community” says Urbanham.com founder Russ McClinton.  According to McClinton the showcase is an on going effort to bring more support to Greater Birmingham’s creative community.  “We want to show our support for all forms of art and continue to work with organizations like Code Red and the Birmingham Art Collective two organizations that do so much to uplift the creative community.”

RealLifeFashion.com will host the Fashion on Canvas Fashion Show, Sunday September 20, 2009 at the Highland Conference Center.  A limited number of tickets are available and can be purchased for  $15.00 by clicking the link below or at the door.  A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Birmingham Art Collective.
