Foundation for Progress in Journalism to host fundraiser at Lyric Theatre with a concert by The Temptations Review featuring Dennis Edwards on Feb. 10
(BIRMINGHAM, Alabama – February 5, 2016) – The Foundation for Progress in Journalism will host a fundraiser themed “Through the Lens” at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10, at the newly restored Lyric Theatre honoring Dr. Jesse Lewis, Sr. and featuring announcements about the evolution of The Birmingham Times.
After 52 years of ownership, Dr. Lewis recently sold The Times to the Foundation for Progress in Journalism (article).
The Temptations Review featuring Dennis Edwards, a Fairfield native, will provide entertainment. Tickets are available at lyricbham.com/events.
