
Penny Foundation hosts luncheon to celebrate Black Business and Black Philanthropy Month
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (August 22, 2022) – The Penny Foundation will host The Intersection – a luncheon that celebrates Black business, philanthropy, and community – on Wednesday, August 31 at 11:30am at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
“The luncheon will give participants an opportunity to really learn more about the Foundation and how to get involved on a more routine level,” said Penny Foundation Founder and CEO Lyord Watson.
At The Intersection, the Penny Foundation will announce Future Forward Grant Cycle award winners, share a recap of August and what it looks to accomplish in the future.
The Penny Foundation sits at the intersection of Black philanthropy, business, and community. Its focus is to build community wealth, encourage entrepreneurship, facilitate smart communities and more. In the celebration of Black Business and Black Philanthropy Month, the Penny Foundation will spotlight philanthropy, business, and community.
