Yoga with Tru is offering a free summer series workshop for adults. This series includes yoga, meditation, and mindfulness. Since Covid, stress, depression, and anxiety has skyrocketed Yoga with Tru is here to serve. One of the immediate benefits of yoga is mindfulness, the ability to find presence in the moment through the use of breathwork and mindfulness techniques. Yoga improves physical and mental strength. Yoga improves focus, assists with blood flow and circulation and increases flexibility. Yoga serves as a tool to allow you to connect the mind, body and soul through breathwork and movement. Yoga is a great mood lifter and proves to increase energy levels and happiness. Yoga reduces stress, calms the mind, and allows mental clarity both on and off the mat.

Jaynea says her internship with Aletheia House, Mothers Hope program has allowed her to provide empowerment, parenting classes, and anger management workshops to women of the facility. She also provided guided meditation services prior to the workshops to allow presence and intentions for the classes.

Born and raised in Ensley of Birmingham, Jaynea has a deep passion to provide healing and empowerment to the community. In 2014 she moved to Houston where she was an Investigator for the State of Texas. She returned to Birmingham in 2019 and shortly after, became the Program Coordinator for the Boys and Girls Club of Brookside, Alabama. As a professional she understands the necessity and importance to provide space for the practice of self care through the use of yoga.

This series serves to assist all adults of any skill level. Beginners are highly encouraged. Parents, teachers, entrepreneurs, real estate professionals, athletes, coaches, and all business professionals and members of the community are welcome. This series will include beginner friendly yoga postures, guided meditation and breathwork techniques. May is the month for mental health awareness but Jaynea’s plan is to keep the classes going for the summer. This service is offered as a mental health tool for healing.
