From the Rooftop: L.A.M.B.S of Destiny Hosts 1st Annual Awards Celebration in Birmingham
Birmingham’s skyline served as the perfect backdrop for a night rooted in purpose, recognition, and community impact as L.A.M.B.S of Destiny hosted its 1st Annual Awards and Recognition Ceremony atop Bar Sebastian’s, located above Michael’s Restaurant.
The evening brought together supporters, community leaders, and honorees for a celebration that was about more than awards — it was about acknowledging the work being done behind the scenes to uplift and guide the next generation.
A Mission Rooted in Community
Led by Alicia Shaw with support from her family, L.A.M.B.S of Destiny continues to expand its reach across Birmingham, as well as into Huntsville, and parts of Georgia. The organization focuses on mentorship, literacy, and personal development, working directly with young people to provide guidance, support, and real-life encouragement.
“We help everybody in our community,” Shaw shared during the event. “We’re going into schools, reading books, and helping young people along their journey so they know they have someone they can lean on.”
Celebrating Impact and Achievement
A highlight of the evening included the presentation of a scholarship to Lilia Frazier, recognizing both academic promise and community involvement.
In addition to the scholarship, several individuals were honored as “Unbreakable Lambs” — a group selected through both organizational leadership and community input. The recognition reflects the organization’s commitment to not only serve the community but to allow the community to help identify those making a real difference.

The rooftop setting, paired with a catered experience from Michael’s Restaurant, created an atmosphere of elegance, but the real focus remained on purpose.
