Knights of Pythias to Host History-Making Membership & Education Event in Birmingham
An organization rooted in service, unity, and legacy is inviting Birmingham and surrounding communities to be part of history. On January 31, 2026, the Knights of Pythias will host a special educational and membership event at Birmingham Easonian Baptist Bible College, offering attendees a unique opportunity to learn the history and make history—all in the same day.

Founded in 1864, the Knights of Pythias is one of the oldest fraternal organizations in the world, with a presence spanning North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia. Built on principles of friendship, charity, and benevolence, the organization has long played a role in uplifting communities, supporting education, and fostering leadership.
This upcoming event runs from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and is designed for individuals interested in understanding the rich legacy of the Knights of Pythias and the affiliated Court of Calanthe, while also exploring the opportunity to become a charter member of a new lodge—New Lodge #66.
The morning will feature Rev. Dr. Wilson Fallin, who will lead a history session beginning at 9:00 a.m., providing insight into the origins, impact, and continued relevance of the organization. At 10:00 a.m., attendees will hear from W. A. Casey, Deputy Supreme Chancellor, who will discuss what it means to carry the legacy forward and help shape the future of the Knights of Pythias in the region.
The event will take place at:
Birmingham Easonian Baptist Bible College
630 Shkooda Road S.W.
Birmingham, AL 35211
Participation is open to the public, and all are welcome. Food will be served, and attendees will have the opportunity to connect with community leaders, learn about service-driven initiatives, and explore membership in an organization with more than 150 years of global impact.
Those interested are asked to RSVP by January 20, 2026. For additional information, inquiries can be made by calling the school Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 205-925-5057, or by contacting Deputy Supreme Chancellor Willie A. (W.A.) Casey at 205-222-1171 or wacasey@bellsouth.net.
As Birmingham continues to honor its history while building its future, this Knights of Pythias gathering offers a meaningful way to engage with tradition, service, and community leadership—while helping to write the next chapter of a historic institution.
