Women Entrepreneurs to Gather in Birmingham for Sunday Social Club Networking Mixer
A new networking event designed to support and inspire women entrepreneurs is coming to downtown Birmingham this spring.
The Sunday Social Club: Women Entrepreneurs Networking Mixer, presented by RuleHER Collective, will bring together aspiring entrepreneurs, business owners, investors, and community supporters for an afternoon of connection and collaboration.
The event will take place on Sunday, April 12 at 3:00 p.m. at the historic Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame. Organizers say the gathering is designed to create a space where women can connect, share ideas, and explore opportunities in entrepreneurship.
According to event organizers, the mixer will welcome women who are interested in starting businesses, current entrepreneurs, and supporters who want to help women-led ventures grow. The goal is to create an environment centered around conversation, community, and collaboration among women who are building the future of business.
A Timely Conversation for Black Women in Business
The event comes at a time when entrepreneurship is becoming an increasingly important path for many professionals across the country.
Over the past several years, layoffs across major industries have impacted thousands of workers nationwide. While job cuts often create uncertainty, they also open the door for professionals with valuable skills and experience to pursue independent work, consulting opportunities, and new business ventures.
For Black women in particular, entrepreneurship continues to be one of the fastest-growing paths to economic empowerment.
Many companies have spent years developing systems, processes, and client relationships that still require expertise and services even after layoffs occur. That means experienced professionals often have the knowledge and skillset to launch consulting firms, service-based businesses, or independent agencies built around the work they already know how to do.
Events like Sunday Social Club create spaces where those ideas can turn into real opportunities.
Networking, Collaboration and Community

Beyond business development, gatherings like the Sunday Social Club also help strengthen Birmingham’s growing entrepreneurial ecosystem.
By bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, and community partners in one room, the event aims to spark new partnerships, mentorship opportunities, and collaborations that can help local businesses grow.
Organizers describe the event as an afternoon of connection, conversation, and community for women building the future through entrepreneurship.
For women considering starting a business, transitioning into consulting, or expanding their professional network, the event offers a welcoming environment to meet others navigating similar paths.
