Eric Benét, Tamar Braxton & Ruben Studdard Bring “Someone to Love” Valentine’s Concert to Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, AL — Looking for the perfect Valentine’s weekend date night? American Entertainment Group (AEG) is bringing an evening of smooth R&B and love songs to downtown Birmingham with the Someone to Love Valentine’s Concert on Friday, February 12, 2027, at the BJCC Concert Hall.

The show features R&B favorites Eric Benét and Tamar Braxton, along with Birmingham’s own Ruben Studdard as special guest. The BJCC and Ticketmaster both confirm all three artists on the lineup.

A Night of R&B for Valentine’s Weekend

Eric Benét brings a catalog filled with R&B favorites including “Spend My Life With You,” “Sometimes I Cry,” “You’re the Only One” and “Chocolate Legs.”

Joining him is Tamar Braxton, whose powerful vocals have produced favorites including “Love and War,” “The One” and “If I Don’t Have You.”

And there’s a strong hometown connection to this show.

Ruben Studdard returns to a Birmingham stage as the evening’s special guest. The Birmingham resident and American Idol winner has enjoyed a career spanning more than two decades, making his addition to this Valentine’s weekend lineup especially fitting.

Together, the three artists should make Someone to Love a great option for couples, groups of friends or anyone looking to kick off Valentine’s weekend with a night of live R&B.

AEG Continues Its Birmingham Concert Tradition

The concert is presented by American Entertainment Group, which recently celebrated 30 years in the entertainment and concert-promotion business.

Urbanham recently took a look back at AEG’s three decades of producing concerts and bringing nationally known R&B, hip-hop, comedy and other entertainment to Birmingham and beyond. The Someone to Love Valentine’s Concert continues that tradition with a lineup built specifically for one of the biggest date-night weekends of the year.
