Yolanda Adams to Headline Closing Concert for “There Is A Balm In Gilead” National Healing Conference (September 19)

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Grammy Award-winning gospel artist Yolanda Adams will headline the closing concert of the There Is A Balm In Gilead National Healing Conference on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. inside the Wright Fine Arts Center at Samford University.

Presented as the finale to the four-day conference, the evening will celebrate faith, hope, worship, and healing while bringing together nationally recognized gospel music and powerful local and collegiate choirs.

Joining Yolanda Adams on stage will be:

• Birmingham Youth and Young Adult Choir
• Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church Choir

The concert serves as the closing event for the 2026 There Is A Balm In Gilead National Healing Conference, taking place September 16–19, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency Birmingham – The Wynfrey Hotel. According to organizers, the conference is designed to foster meaningful conversations centered on healing, understanding, faith, justice, and community restoration while commemorating America’s 250th anniversary.

Organized by The Historic Bethel Baptist Church Community Restoration Fund, the conference will feature nationally recognized historians, scholars, faith leaders, and community advocates discussing ways to build stronger communities through dialogue and reconciliation. Organizers describe the conference as an opportunity to “open doors of communication that will help foster healing for individuals as well as the community.”
